FONT size

Hello Ning Creators,

Does anyone know where they hid the adjustment for font size for general posts... it is set at 10 pt-- same as this page!

As the original poster, one can change the font in the editor but replies cannot be adjusted...I have mostly seniors- I need it set at 12 pt!!

Where do I do that? I have checked every place I can find!!!! Help!

Thanks

  • We have lost both text size and strike through in comments and replys.  Both of which we used on Ning 2.

    The features are available when adding discussions and blog posts.  Why they removed the feature in comments and replys, I have no idea.

  • Font size for replies in comments has never been available as it's normally taken from the body text by default. It can be added with a little css though. When you say general posts do you mean the activity feed or replies like this in forums, blogs etc ?

    • For instance, in design studio, general my body text is 16px so the text areas like comments will also be 16px. That said the activity feed is different and comments showing up there the font size is different and a lot smaller but can be changed with a little css.

      These two lines added into your design studio css will adjust the comment sizes and change the 20px value to what you need

      .comments-text{ font-size: 20px }
      .activityFeed-comment{ font-size: 20px }

      • Bizz, THanks so much... my reply comment seem "stuck" at sz.10 and it is just too small- my body text is set at 14!! I will try your suggestions... Thanks so much!

        BTW- do you know exactly what happens when you do a "history" reset in Design Studio? Do you lose content or design settings if you changed since last "history"???  Thanks so much...

        • Hi Suzie, when you do a history reset it does not change or remove content. It reverts to the previous version of the last time you made a change to the design or any code added. Everytime you hit the publish button or save button in custom code it creates an history state. So for example if you add a line of css and click publish it will create a history for that with the date above showing when it was added, if you then choose a previous history and save that the css you added before that would not be there, it will be the same for design studio changes as well.

          Hope that helps, Bizz :-)

          • Thank You so much for your help. I have a case of disappearing pages and content and I am trying to #1. find out how or who is making this happen and #2 figure out how to stop it from happening...

            if a page gets accidentally deleted can it show back up in unlinked pages? from my experience- delete is deleted!
