First: What is pinterest?
Pinterest is described on its website as a “virtual pinboard” – a place for you to “collect the things you love”. Other useful descriptions you’ll hear are “online vision boards” and “image bookmarking website”.
How to Add Pinterest Button to Your Ning
Probably best to add it to the right column (which shows up on all pages)
Go to the Pinterest Goodies Page and look for this:
Fill out the relevant fields as shown above and take the generated code and add it to a text box in your site.

hmm...that does actually seem like an easier solution...thanks Diane!
A 'pin it' button to add items to your personal pinterest board is different from a 'follow me on pinterest' button, which I would like to have on my ning page. I'd like to drive targeted traffic to my pinterest board, especially members of our community.
To be clear, there are two different buttons we are talking about here.
1. 'pin it' button that allows you to add pictures to your Pinterest Boards.
2. 'follow me' pinterest button to be next to your Twitter, FB, G+ buttons.
Does anyone know how to connect the 'follow me' button to ning main page
the button comes with two codes:
Add this code to your page, right where you want the button to appear:
<a href="http://pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpinterest.com%2Fbousal%2Fpins%2F&media=http%3A%2F%2Fpinterest.com%2Fbousal%2Fpins%2F&description=You%20Must%20See%20To%20Believe" class="pin-it-button" count-layout="horizontal"><img border="0" src="//assets.pinterest.com/images/PinExt.png" title="Pin It" /></a>
Add this code to your page only once, directly above the closing </BODY> tag:
<script type="text/javascript" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"></script>
Where on Ning network do i put second code please ?
Hello Diane, what is Skysa and Wibiya BOTH?
Thanks much for response but I really don't like the bars at the bottom of site, I will have to figure out adding the button
I am one of those people who spend way too much time on Pinterest and have been a member since the first week and to be honest: I NEVER use the Pin it button on sites, I always use my own Pin it button on my browser bar. So I really wonder how many people would actually use it.
I do not like the extra bar on my browser, It brings the website lower and you see less of it. I would rather have it in site
Sounds like a very good reason why you do not want to have it in your browser bar.
yes, thanks for understanding
THANKS, IT WORKS REALLY NICE
