Making a Submenu the Easy Way

Hi all.

I have been struggling with making a submenu. It should be something easy, but not for me.

First, I create a blank page, and then for all the pages below, I check the option "make this a sub-tab". Is that the only way? The blank page as the main submenu, what format should have? I created a link to the same home page, but it reloads when someone tries to click on it. Is there a clean way to create a sub menu?

If then later, I want to rearrange the submenu items, I can't. I need to remove the pages from the submenu, and add them again. In this process I even lost 2 pages, as a bug appeared, duplicating the pages I was trying to arrange. When I erased one of the duplicates, both original and duplicate were erased.

Please help me. Thanks!

If you are using Ning 3.0 you should be able to just grab and hold the page title and drag it under where you want a submenu THEN click make sub-tab  like so..
