Current status of the Ning Platform is always available on the Ning Status Blog.

Here is a tip that has been working very well for me.

Go to a question and answer site like Yahoo answers. Create an account.

Search for questions related to your niche or topic of your community.

When you find a good question copy it and post it in your forums.

When your members answer the question, pick one and copy it and post it at yahoo answers.

This will serve a few purposes. People will see the answer on yahoo answers and then visit your site.

Members will answer the question creating unique content for your site as well as increased member engagement.

Let me know how it works for you

  • lol this is what i've been doing also i've used the custom saved search feature so i can track down the key words that i want so i can bring more people to my network. I think this helps if you have a well put together network so not only can they increase new members but increase engagement

  • i do this also

  • I have been doing it a little differently. I have a Spanish / English site, so i go into the language category in both languages on Yahoo. I answer the question and put links to my content that will help them. I have been doing that for 3 years now. I have gotten a lot of traffic and new members that way.

  • great idea, Brian. You are very good at thinking outside the box.
