I have a wee problem... or maybe it is not a problem! Please keep in mind I am not techie at all!!!
I have used one of my Discussion Categories as a "Steam Room" for members to use for posting items not suitable in the main forum...
Now here is the possible problem --this discussion has 466 pages of replies!!!!
Does that mean that I am waiting for all those pages to load every time on the site???
If so...Can I change the forum layout -will it solve this problem of load time?
Or is it time to Archive that discussion and start clean?

No, you are not loading all those pages at the same time.
The number of the page could influence loading speed only because the server should find all the replies situated on the page you are opening and display them to you in the proper order. However, that shouldn't take a lot of time, maybe several milliseconds of calculations and comparison.
If you wish you can share the link to that page so I can check what could be wrong there, or you can just run several speed tests yourself to see how you can increase the loading speed of the page, but since it just the place where your members could post I guess whatever they want it would be really hard to control the size of that page.
