I've wondering about our information in ning as a costumers and our members information.
After Facebook scandal.
• Our information it is really save and private on ning?
I’m saying this because every time when I visit other websites there are ads from ning.com
I understand how Facebook works as a free platform. as a member on Facebook I know we are the product and they are making money from us.
Facebook, google and other companies are renting our private information suchs email, tags, photo date, names, location, our contacts.
• Ning is not free platform
This mean our information is save and private including the information of our members?

You can be sure that your information and the information of your members are protected if you check the privacy policy you may see that the information could be disclosed only in cases when we have received the legal request from authorities (subpoena for example). The privacy of your information is completely determined by you, when you are changing the settings of the site, the same is valid for members of your network how are able to hide their profiles by using the profile settings.

That proves that our marketing team really spends money on ads instead of yachts and "Crystal" bottles like I thought before :-) Without jokes, there is such thing as contextual advertising which is providing you with the ads depends on your search results location etc. so if you have been searching for Ning or creators, or the questions related to the site building you may see the ads related to Ning. For example, I'm using the same google account at work and at home, that's why I always get ads regarding different site builders, offer to check the site for freelance, coding courses etc.
