NC for Hire

Hey All NCs,

I am pleased to announce our upcoming Responsive Grid and Design Support for Ning 2.0 networks, with our new add-on service and engine framework in development, Reactor2 Theme Engine.

Feature Summary:

  • provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones).
  • Make your Ning 2.0 sections and pages that look great at any size.
  • Ning 2.0 Header Menu, Pop-up Modal Compatibility and Support.
  • Keep your base design elements with the default Ning Design Studio and enhance it with Reactor2 Design Center.
  • Designer Friendly.

Please note that this is a different method and will be based on a solid responsive framework. ;-)

More details, screenshot and video will be posted soon. Please send your feedback or questions here or at our support page.

Cheers :-)

Thanks SP for the heads up. Yes, I already saw previous posts re: those method.

But this will be something different.. :-)

    • There's a way to make Ning 2 responsive? We're losing a ton of traffic because it isn't, and on April 21, Google will start punishing the rankings of sites that aren't mobile ready significantly. I looked through a couple of months of George's postings and didn't see anything on it.

Yes. I've done it for a client on a private ning 2.0 site. Fully responsive, mobile menu etc.

        Here is George's tip

        • Thanks, SP. I went to the catamaran site he listed in the discussion I first got the old N2 mobile app on my phone. I had to pick full site button to get the responsive version. Is that normal?

Also were you able to do the one you did with your usual high degree of polish?

          Thanks
