Hi there,

Ning doesn't compress photos for best performance?

My members upload only 2679 photos on the network, and it has reached all 10 Gb

For comparison, I will show you a Screenprint from an event that I shoot like a professional photographer. In that Screenprint, you can see a Full resolution, direct from my camera. There are 1077 photos in Lightroom and it takes 5,92 Gb in space. We are talking about full resolution from the Canon 6D shoot.

My Network is for photographers. And is all about show they work. If I have to pay all that money for let they upload. My Networks has ended, cause I can't pay that. We are running on Bet test. When I really start this thing I will get really lot's of photos uploaded.

is there any way to not force me to live Ning once for all?

  • Thank your for let it know.

Do you have any screenshots from ning when you reached the limit of space?

    • Hello Jelena!

You can find information regarding the used storage space in Social Site Manager - Disk Usage tab.

I just checked your site - you have 90% of free storage.

      Best regards,

      The NING Team

      • Thank your anasta

        it’s 10 % already with 50 images

With the size of 1200x800 and 1200x1000

means the maximum number of images is 500 images por network.

        for photographers this deal  stinks.

        • Hi there,

I am a phtographers from Brasil. And this is really a problem for me too. If there is a way to limits a file upload, would solve the problem.

But I asked Ning and they did not help at all. Some members just upload photos over 44 MB

As they charge extra when we over capacity , I don't belive they is a good intention to help us. Am I right Anastasia?

The problem is that it make impossible to us to grow, as far 2660 photos from 516 members do not bring me nothing extra. I don't get any money from then to justify to pay more. We need a lot of members. But how much that is going to cost me?

Hope to get limited size soon on photos upload.
