I'm basically modifying Top Discussion This Week page using Text Editor.
How to modify then?
Be sure to change "Top Discussions this Week" heading to "Discussion Forums" via Language Editor ( search "Top Discussions" in search field.)
Be sure to check "Top Discussion" and "Display leaderboards for the last week" from the Leaderboards Settings.
If you have some knowledge of HTML and photoshop, go to this page http://www.yournetwork.com/leaderboards/discussions/week and customize it using Text Editor.
Go to "Tabs and pages" via my network and change the Target page i.e. http://www.yournetwork.com/leaderboards/discussions/week

Is this thing can be applied to Forum?
Most welcome classic...well, I have not tried with forum module/...I can't say it can be done or not...

so..if i get this your just replacing the forum tab with a leaderboard customized with 4 image buttons tio 4 forum categories and only showing the weeks best? i can see this as great for small slow moving sites but i have 28 forum sections that move quickly so isnt ideal but neat idea though i have a feeling guests would preffer full access to the whole forums at a click and removing the forum tab entirely might make alot of content hard to find let alone hard to index?

The main forum tab is visible to members only however, visitors can still access the entire forum from the main page ( Main page forum module) using view all link.
ok ok got ya so this is mostly for visitors to give them just an overview of the weeks best stuff
i guess would be interesting to wait and see how its used .. i mean if people preffer using it over the direct forums access
