Current status of the Ning Platform is always available on the Ning Status Blog.

Hey all! I wanted to share a special offer for interested Ning Pro NCs. We've worked closely with Mobile Roadie (one of our Ning Everywhere partners) to provide a significant holiday discount on their mobile app creation services.

If you're interested in creating a native iPhone, Android or BlackBerry application that can integrate with your Ning Network, you'll be able to save 20% on setup fees through December 31st.

Check out this offer page for more details and some product tour videos. Happy holidays!

  • dang...guess i found my answer of whether to use this service or not....thanks Rob!!!
  • @Robert Luecke, Sorry to hear that. I hope it gets all worked out. I agree that there is very little info on what Ning-MR integration can do. I wouldn't mind paying the fee... but only if I knew what I was buying. Good luck

  • I paid for thier service(they didn't do anything) and noticed a non refund policy. Did not read it all the way thru which is my fault. I wanted to see thier tools based on what ning had to say. Logged on to see what they had and realized right away it was not for a social networking site. More of an app to promote a product or service. They mainly have muscisians hence the name mobileroadie. I tried to cancel right away and get my money back. They said not no but heck no. I called my credit card company and told them what happened and they are going try and work it out with them. Bottom line is they have $1,200 dollars of mine and didn't do anything. The only thing I did was log on and see a pretty basic application they put together imho. I figured the non refund policy was if you submitted an application or something a little more than just logging on.

Ning should say and warn people that they are not for a social networking site imho.

  • @Robert Luecke, Could you be more specific? I was about to sign up with MR, but now I'm hesitating because of your post. Why do you feel like you made a bad choice? Is you app up yet? I'd love to see it.

    Thanks

  • I paid for thier service on the reccomondation from the site and feel like I made a bad choice. So far slow to respond
  • Hey EAM! There's not a specific page dedicated to this, but in a nutshell, the initial Ning integration portion of the Mobile Roadie app allows for the automatic syncing of new blog posts and photos from the Ning Network to the Mobile Roadie CMS, and the automatic syncing of new event photos from Mobile Roadie to Ning (once a member signs in to your network inside the Mobile Roadie app and snaps some event photos to sync to their member profile page).

  • Hey Kyle - I am trying to find detailed specifics on what I can do with ning/mobile roadie - and a better look at the platform ins and outs....but it seems I have to pay them before I can see what I can do with them...is there something you can point me to?
