I just thought I'd share my broadcast message template that i send every week. You'll notice it's very similar to the Weekly Digest here on Creators :-)
However, I just wanted to say that the In Focus, Featured Member and Sponsors are paid-for elements so i thought this might be useful.

incidentally, I've also search for "A message from %s" in the Language editor and replaced it with

"The Week on %s (we recommend that you leave this on as it is a great way to find out what's been happening over the week)"

so that in the email settings for members their is a bit of text encouraging them not to turn BMs off

really like the ad units in the broadcast message as well, I'm going to offer those spots to my advertising customers, maybe as a freebie or close the deal kind of tool, even. Offer them for sale, but utilize them as a closing tool for advertisers on the fence in deciding to advertise with you. "I'll tell ya what, i'll throw in the broadcast message spots that I normally sell for x amount a month for free. That spot is coming available this week, if you want to go ahead & take advantage of that opportunity now". That will lend the feeling of "I need to go ahead and do this now and get that "extra" ad slot for free before he sells it" to the deal. Could help you close deals NOW, vs. the potential advertiser wanting to think about it. If they contacted you to advertise, they ARE INTERESTED. PERIOD. If they give you the "let me think about it" response, there IS a hot button you have yet to hit, this idea just may close it now, when you NEED it to close.
