I've been doing some maintenance and working on adding members to Member Categories and I stumbled onto a couple accounts that the user names had been changed to gibberish numbers (starting with 1, 2, or 3). I emailed the member of the first one I found and they responded so I know they are a real member. I have found a total of 42 corrupted accounts, including a test account I created using a different email address. I tried editing the test account but the system refused to allow me to edit anything so I tried deleting the account from my admin account and the Ning system wouldn't let me delete it. I was able to use the leave option on the edit profile page when logged into that account and delete it that way and then I was able to rcreate the account through the normal signup process.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anyway to fix the issue other than emailing the member individually and instructing them to delete their account and signup again? I tried creating a member category called Corrupted and then assign all the corrupted accounts to that category but the Ning system won't let me do that to those accounts.
