How to hold a Contest? Thumbs up- on 2.0

Hi there,

I am planning a contest this weekend and I would like to use member votes by thumbs up. However the only way I see to use thumbs up is in a main discussion (I have promote turned on) is there some way to have likes, or thumbs up as replies...

The only way I can think of doing this is to have members simply use the main forum and post each joke as a new discussion- but that will look too weird... Is there any other way I can do this...

It is a Political Joke contest..
