New Broadcast message features needed

Hello everyone,

I am posting today to vent a little, as well as champion for a simple features that I cannot believe that in 2018 have not  been added to our networks.  

• We need a way to choose a day and time for our Broadcast messages to be sent to our audience so we do not need to hover over our browsers in order to run our networks.
• We do not have a way to save templates or different versions of our Broadcast messages in the system. Having it easy to pull up and replace text or pictures will help us stay connected with our networks more. 

If you feel like me that these features will be a welcomed addition to your networks please chime in with me. 

Perhaps we can get this on this years Roadmap.

I think they handled that part with the Mail chimp plugin. Once you have a mail chimp you can have a list of people who are not members and send them emails as well as your site members. My thing is I do not want to use an outside system, it should be simple in our own NING world.

Thanks for your suggestions as I remember you have already mentioned once the necessity of having the ability to save templates of your broadcast messages, unfortunately, management hasn't made the final decision regarding this feature yet. 

The ability to choose the time and date when the broadcast message would be sent seems to be a good idea and I cannot see anything similar reported to the management so I'll create the suggestion. 

Regarding the suggestions of Tim, if there would be an ability to include the email into the broadcast messages list without registration, in such case people who are looking for the platform from which they can send spam will find their Eldorado. Just imagine, everything you need to do is to start teh trial, after that, you can put all the email address you have by yourself in the system, and start sending messages and as that person is on trial, basically it's zero risks.

At this moment you can send the broadcast message to teh specific user, as you can send the messages to the members of the specific category. Just add the user you wish to receive the message to a specific category, and send a broadcast message to that category. After you can take off category you have just added.
