Hello all,
My members love to put videos on their profiles. Some even embed playlists. Recently (only on google chrome) no videos nor playlists will autoplay even if instructed to. Does anyone have any idea why? They still work in other browsers like firefox.

Hi there!
The default settings of autoplay have been changed in the latest version of the Chrome (https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/09/autoplay-policy-c...), please copy and paste the following line into the address bar of the Chrome browser chrome://flags/#autoplay-policy, and make sure that the "No user gesture is required" has been chosen. This will allow autoplay on your local device.

This works, that sucks about Chrome's new policies. Hopefully they tweak them a little bit. A lot of my members like their music to autoplay when people visit their page. Also its funky that only half my members are having this issue while the other half are still able to autoplay as normal on chrome.

The policies are getting changed on your device only with the release of the new version of the browser, so some of your members probably haven't updated the chrome and that's why the autoplay function is still working properly for them. Well, unfortunately, I don't think chrome is going to revert this changes in the future, however, who knows maybe user's feedback would make the change this policy.
