Is it possible to set up a page that has a database or a catalog of products that members can comment/like/add images/reviews etc.?

Hi there!
You may try to use one of the modules for example blog for this purpose. The body could contain the description and the photo of the product, in teh comment people will be able to leave their reviews and upload the photos int that comments, also each blog post could be liked if necessary. The language editor will allow you to change the name of the fields the way you need. I guess the main here will be with the appearance of the products, but it could be changed with custom scripts and styles if needed.

I used groups module for this purpose, I created about 4.800 groups until now, each group is a "product, with its description and category and users are able to add reviews and comments:

Kyryl's suggestion using blogs module may get a similar result.

I think your approach is better if the groups are not used for their initial purpose, as there is a wider range of functionalities presented there, and in addition, you can use custom styles for each group in an easier way if it's necessary to make something special for some products.

Yes... you can create a database using Google Sheets and then use Awesome-table to make the database more appealing... embed the Awesome Table into your page... i've done this over a hundred times... reach out if you'd like some help setting it all up!
