Current status of the Ning Platform is always available on the Ning Status Blog.
This Ning powerd site: http://homeenergypros.org/ ; has the cabaility to sign in via LinkedIn, Yahoo, Twitter and Facebbok.
Does anyone knows in this forum how this is done? I would like to make something identical on my site.

To enable social sign up/in open your Member Managment menu, switch to the Sign up & Sign in tab and select social media you would like to include - http://take.ms/AFhnJ . Please, note, you can have up three social sign in options available at the same time.

Unfortunately, LinkedIn is not available as a sign in/up option for 3.0 platform.
On 3.0 such box does not appear automatically on the home page, all the sign in/up options are presented on the login page itself - http://take.ms/h0IO3
But you can surely make a similar box by putting FB, Twitter, etc logo in the HTML box and linking it to the login page.
