If you constantly have to wait on someone else to help you, you'll never get anywhere. I'll be honest - I'm not a coding genius. BUT I can at least recognize most coding and edit it to do what I want. I started out a complete airhead who was only able to use "WYSIWYG" (drag and drop) features on Yahoo Geocities, then learned how to create bold/italic/color text on Myspace in 2006... Now I can edit and create HTML and CSS code on at least an amateur/semi-pro level.

Places I've learned a lot of my coding from:

I'm always learning - which is great because the tech world is ever changing. But at least I get closer every day. I've even managed to teach other people how to get to at least the bold/italic/color level - and these are people who used to be AFRAID to even ATTEMPT to code. All you have to do is TRY. If you are uncomfortable messing with something you might break - practice on a page with a COPY of something you're trying to edit until you are comfortable enough to edit something live.

And always - have fun!

  • I agree and I'm always amazed by how much information is out there on the net and how freely so many people give of their time and knowledge to provide said info - just like so many here on Creators. So THANKS to all the knowledge givers out there!

  • Learning the hard way, by myself =)
