You've may have read my tips and tricks related to using the RSS feeds of your community to help members find other sections of your site and recieve updates with new content when it is updated. (I'll put those links at the bottom of this post)
All of that just got better!
I have been using a service called RSS Ground for almost 2 years now and I love it.
RSS Ground was always about “other people’s content”… Until now!
Starting today you can create and distribute your own content! This means you can create a self updating content feed for your community and embed it!
Create your own personal feeds and compose your original posts in them.
With the help of our WYSIWYG editor you can apply basic formatting, add links, images, videos, tables and, if needed, tweak it with own HTML.
You can run your personal feed as a news feed or as a full scale blog.
And with the power of RSS Ground’s posting campaigns your original content can be automatically distributed to your social social networks.
And that’s not all.
With this update you can edit not only your manual posts, but ANY item added to your personal feed from other feeds. Now you are in full control over the content saved to your personal feeds!
Of course you can mix in RSS feeds from your community, but you can also do a LOT more. I created these websites which pull in hundreds of posts every hour. Surveyor Jobs Board , Virtual Mall for my community , Company Directory for Land Surveyors. Every time a new item hits any feed, it updates my sites. The same goes for importing feeds inside of your Ning Community. Plug the feeds in and embed your widget... its that simple.
