I have used it, but not for my Ning networks. I was using Constant Contact for my network when Ning first partnered with them a few years back, but it was too expensive for me.

How does one integrate these various email platforms with Ning? Looking at them -- and Ning -- it's not clear.

Hi Rachella,

 I have created a Broadcast Message template that I have steadily been improving over time. It's simple and it works 100% of the time. It was based on a weekly digest template Ning sent to members of this very Ning Creators Network so that's how I know it works. These are some of the advantages:

• It works with the native broadcast message feature. (with constant contact, or MailChimp you'll have to export your member list to another service)
• The code works with the broadcast message form. (There is some html code that will not work with the Nings broadcast message. I don't know why or which ones but my template only uses the ones that works with the Ning native broadcast message form)
• You fill in the blanks and copy & paste. You don't have to worry about the html because that's all taken care of on the back end. You just copy and paste the code.
• It's international. It can translate your broadcast message to over 15 different languages and is as simple as choosing a drop down selection for your language. This works great for NCs with a global population.
• It works on mobile.
• Includes Donate, Feedback, and Social Network Icon buttons built in.

My solution may not be the best for everyone but it's been tested and proven. I must admit I really like looking at some of the new templates and may adapt them for this Ning native template just to switch things up a bit. I may use Mailchimp in the future but probably for special occasions broadcasts. I haven't had to so far.

Hi Rachella, looks like you've got a few recommendations for templates to use with Ning Broadcast Messages from other creators. As far as using the email service providers mentioned (like MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc), the most straightforward way is to export your member data from your Ning Network and then import that into the email service you're using. Hope that helps!
