Current status of the Ning Platform is always available on the Ning Status Blog.
I created a custom page, with the Ning platform forum at the top and then a tab container with activity feed, photos, etc below...
On this page, it only displays stuff on the forum, without being able to add to the forum...how do i change this for people to be able to add discussions and comment directly from this page?

Hi there!
There are two options: you can either add a button that would redirect you to the page of creating a discussion, or you can iframe the "create a discussion" page and edit it in the way that only elements of creating a new forum will be shown.

In the mean time, can you send me a pic of an example of what the iframe would look like? I can't really envision exactly what you mean. I don't want to have a link redirecting...thanks!
