I tried to do this some time ago but couldn't figure out how to get the 'More' items when they show up to take on the scripts on the older items added. I have added a post about this so hopefully Ning will get this fixed up. But since I seem to have figured out a way to be able to do it I could now get a tip working I wanted to do for a while.
So the idea was to be able to filter the activity feed by feature, so now you can just look at any videos added to the feed, photos, blogs and forums. It will work for articles as well but not added those to my site just yet. As this is the first version and in it's testing phase I have just added the filter into tabs but you will just have a check box option in the final stage.
You may notice it takes a while to load for now but this will improve as I get it all tidied up so the scripts only load once you select the option you require. Once done I will then share how it was all done.
Why am I added this post before it's fully complete ? Well I just thought this might be something the New Ning team might be able to build into the activity feed at some point in the future so it's better to have something to show as an example rather than try to explain it.
