Hi folks,
Let's add a little Christmas Cheer to your ning network.
Follow the instructions below:
Step One: Copy the following code and paste it into CUSTOM CODE (End of Page Code).
Step Two: Copy the following code and paste it into CUSTOM CSS via design studio. Well, this step is not mandatory, you can skip this step if you don't want Christmas background.
body {
background-image: url("https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/11390785?profile=original")!important;
background-color: #f7f7f7;
background-repeat: no-repeat;}
Note: If snowfall.js file and body_background.jpg file are broken, please download the attachments and upload it into your own server.

I just add a Santa hat to mine
Santa hat is looking cool....BTW, thanks SP.
Thanks Bernard- i just tested the snowfall and it works nicely- very subtle and pretty- saving it for about 3 days before Christmas. My members will love this!
You are welcome Strumelia. And wish you all a merry christmas in advance.
I'm having some problems with the snowfall script on my 2.0 network- can anyone help? http://mountaindulcimer.ning.com/
The snow is working on my site, but--- I have quite a few members strongly complaining about things jittering/bouncing/strobe-lighting at the bottom on their screen now- like my Skysa bar (I removed it temporarily) and the native Ning chat lower bar. Most members are not experiencing the problem, and I can't see the problem in either Firefox or IE on my desktop.
One of my moderators had this to offer about the issue:
But I don't have a clue on how to do this or if that's what the problem is.
It doesn't seem to be browser related- members having the problem are using various browsers, latest versions.
Any ideas? If I don't solve this, I'll have to be a 'Scrooge' and remove the snowfall altogether right before Christmas. :(
Well I found a way to add a "Stop Snowing" button on each page, so my members are happier now- the ones who were having problems, anyway. The snow has to be stopped on each page they visit however, but not so bad if I only have the snow going for a couple days anyway.
