Back in the day, this community was jumping with activity. But since the Ukraine war broke out we have seen basically no improvements or feature additions.
As a person who helps community developers build out their communities, this brings up a lot of questions that I am not sure how to answer.
For Example:
Ning is listed as a company based in Palo Alto, CA and I am often faced with the question "Why is a company based in California frozen on development and using the war as an excuse for over 3 years?"
There should be a ton of new features being added to Ning constantly.

Many of us are paying hundreds of dollars per month to keep a community alive that Ning seems to not care about anymore. For this amount of money there are tools today that will completely rebuld our communities for us, so I am just asking....
Where are the updates?
Can someone from the Ning team clue us in?
Will there ever be a Ning 4.0?

I'm sorry that many like us have worked so hard and given up, but at least I'm getting closer to Ning for new projects, but as I said above I'm too sorry for how we two gave so much and unfortunately many have left we needed all of them including Bizz who with his Javascript revolutionized a lot of ideas and functions for NingNing is based in California but operations are in Kyiv, Ukraine. Due to the war, operations may temporarily be based elsewhere. Their servers are in the US, at least for the US. Perhaps in the UK or EC for European customers.
Their staff and their loved ones are going through hell but they keep the network highly functional and reliable. Their lives have been turned upside down. Many Ukrainians have lost friends or relatives due to the war, thier homes often destroyed—24x7 worry and grief. And some staff members are likely serving or have served in the military to protect the nation.
Keeping the network functional and reliable is surely their main concern, and they're doing a great job of it from what I've seen. And in my experience customer service is still excellent. New features and versions probably have to wait right now out of necessity.
Their prices are low as we all know. Most quality competitors charge several times what they do for comparable specs. They likely don't have the funds or staff right now for major upgrades.
Let's all be patient and understanding right now.
