What is going on here? This morning, out of the blue, I got a message that I had reached a limit of 10,000 members and I needed to upgrade. I have over 16,000 members. This is the first notification I have ever received. 10 minutes later 6000 members were totally gone from my network. What happened??? This is crazy. A policy that I've never heard of suddenly implemented? How about I would have gotten notification when I was at member #9995? Why wait several years and then today implement a policy AND an action immediately?
You need to be a member of Ning Creators Social Network to add comments!

Dear Connie Mettler, The same thing happen to me as well. Ning previously offer some network the grandfathered status for which even if someone who are on Ning 2.0 Plus plan used to have more than it's limit of 10000 members. I think your network was one of them. However, it seems, Ning without informing us has change the policy. Kindly do not be panic, reach to them through support, your members will be added again. I hope now we all who were given grandfathered status in the past, need to upgrade.
This is Ridiculous Same thin has happened to me !
whats going on NO warnings nothing . At least Can we have our Data ! Whatever we can salvage !
maybe its time to leave the support has been horrid for the past 5 years anyway . i have been with ning since 2009 !
I am here from the year February, 2008, Dont worry, they have not deleted the data but hiding it from the view.
Well, I didn't think I was the Lone Ranger and you may be correct. They wanted to get our attention. Mission accomplished. They told me all would be well, but so far (and I have not upgraded at this point) nothing has happened. I've hosted my network since August 2010, adding new member daily. At present there are 12 waiting for approval.
same thing happened with my network...
Wow, this is scary! I hope you get those members back. I'll keep this in mind as I'm growing
Well, we're all set now. The data was reset by Ning to show 9998, but it was in the archive. As soon as I upgraded (added more money) they all reappeared. I'm just asking for a little more warning the next or clarification. I'm still working in 2.0. I think Ning prefers us to be in the 3.0 version, but that would require rebuilding my site and several days of work that I'm not willing to do.
