Hey Creators!
I was using the NING Network Archiver and it worked fine until I got to blogs.
I get this error message:
'A downloading error occured. Please try again.'
I contacted NING and they said it was a bug that they are aware of. After several weeks of back/forth exchange I was told that this tool is no longer available!!
How can this be possible without any sort of prior warning or message, etc.!!
They said I can manually back up any files as needed!! Really? I have hundreds and thousands of items to back up and manually would take a lifetime!
Anyone have any ideas or alternatives?
Thanks.

This was already posted about over here.
Ning Network Archiver Issue: Unable to Log Into the Service [NING 2.0]
And I offered archiving support and sort of predicted that this was going to happen over here.
Ning 2.0 Archive Support
I have spent a lot of time perfecting the science of archiving because Ning has unique challenges when it comes to this.
I can assist anyone who needs to archive their network even if they "have hundreds and thousands of items to back up and manually would take a lifetime!"
I have been a Ning Creator since 2008.
I hope other important ning 2 features don't become discontinued...
Hi there!
As I know we are not planning to discontinue features available on 2.0, the archiver is an exception as basically, it's a separate product used to upload data.
Best regards,
Ning Team.
A question for Kyryl_Ning_Support: Have you abandoned the migration of networks from Ning2 to Ning3? How will you migrate if the archiver is not operational?
Hi there!
The migration is not abandoned and it's still under development. The archiver is a standalone tool which is not connected anyhow to the migrations script that would be used to transfer content from 2.0 to 3.0 network.
Best wishes,
Ning Team.
I would like to say a huge, huge thanks to @Garfield Archivist for helping me archive and backup my blog data from NING! He was even so kind and went the extra mile to format it exactly how I needed!
I can't say enough kind words and he's truly been so helpful.
If anyone is looking to archive or backup data WITHOUT the help of NINGs Archiver tool, he's the man!
