I'm not too much into the scrolling comments walls, and such. But this particular little tweak, I like a lot. It will add a vertical scroll bar to your Latest Activity module on the home page. If you only have 4 postings selected, the bar may not show up with 500 height. You can adjust the height to suit your preference.

Add this CSS to Manage/Appearance/Advanced CSS, at bottom.

/* Scroll Bar for Latest Activity */
.xg_widget_main .xg_module_activity .xg_module_body {height: 500px;overflow : auto;position:relative;}

  • THIS IS SO AWESOME!!! Thank you Jen. I like to have the max number of LA on my main page but always hated the amount of space and the look it created.
  • Is there any way to do this with the forum and blogs that we show on the main page?
    I tried changing module_activity to module_forum but it didn't work.
  • The only problem I have seen with this is that if you have the activity bar to show up on every page the code no longer works.

      Hi Morgan,
      "... activity bar to show up on every page" Can you explain? Not sure what this means.

        ahhh, thanks Bob. I don't use these tweaks on member pages. It will take a little time to figure it out. I'll have to think about this one, later.

    I must be dense today, LOL. Can you explain? What scroll bar on the left? Can you give an illustration or example?
  • NC for Hire
    Hi Robin,
    ohhh, no, sorry Robin. I've never done that. Even if you could do this, seems it would be confusing? I can't recall ever seeing a scroll bar on left of any window, have you?
    k, gone for a while, back later.
  • I dont know Jen...didnt work for my site...

      Do you have enough listings selected, for the scroll to be needed?
