I notice that that the entiredy of Ning was down all day today, "due to maintenance". 

Was/is there anything special they added or worked on during the maintenance time?

I just realized that my members can no longer post pictures, videos, blogs, events, or anything Ning is about. 

My site has been completely stagnant for a longtime and I thought members just sort of move on elsewhere. As the admin everything works as

My opinion:

Groups are neglected because no updates about new members are shown in the activity feed.

The same goes for member profiles. Member comments are not shown. And all activity disappears into invisibility. Only new friends are noticed.
