Not sure if anyone else has noticed (as i can't see any mention of it on Creators) but we now seem to have the ability to add animated cover photos to our Ning 3.0 profiles. For example, take a look at my profile cover photo.
I haven't yet tried it on other networks but it seems to now be a built in functionality. If you're looking for a tool to create animated screenshots, take a look at this discussion.

Yup. Still crops a bit too much, but works fine. I've had mine up since the migration. Good thing to bring up to others too!
yeah the cropping is still off, but working nonetheless.. gonna try it else where with some more well calculated sizes..
