New Chat Ning 3.0

My first impression this is what I see.

• Our users can not see which of their friends or site users are online and could not  start chatting immediately.
• Chat can no longer be opened in a pop-up window
• Members can not ignore a user in the chat

New Features:

• We can search  for members
• Add members to chat
• New design 
• add file
• add image

I would like to see the members who are online (as in the previous version)

Another things  that i have  notice are :

•  All users account are missing the chat button in the  profile page.

          *   The old Chat  it does not have this option but it think this could  be a good option to make communication between members as simple as possible

• The private  chat window it does not show the profile avatar .

        * 

PD. In the screenshot below I have edited the 2 options that are not included in this new chat

I'm guessing if the member page is private the chat window will only show in the avatar for friends...

Hi there!

Unfortunately not. The avatar isn't shown in the header of the chat window, however, in the main chat window where you can choose among chat rooms you are part of and private chats you have already started each private chat would have the avatar of the other participant.

Hi there,

Unfortunately no. The developers have simply started to deploy changes in live networks by mistake, and the small amount of the networks has been affected by this. So few lucky ones could have had the ability to test new chat feature before the release. When the chat would be released you would see the announcement from us and the article in help center as well. There are only a few final tests left.
